Work progresses steadily on 47768 the loco for those of you who don't know is to be restored to BR twin tone green and to have its original red lights put back instead of the "fruit gum" lights which were installed for mainline use

ye that still happens now because not all the power cars are converted too MTU yet some you sometimes get a re-furbished one on the front and non on the back or the other way round

Funnily Dan should mention how quiet they are.. When they were first introduced, signal men were phoning drivers after the train had passed saying the back power car wasn't running. (they used to run Valenta one side, MTU on t'other)
